we're in a dilemma. i understand it is still coming down but it is no longer a tropical storm or hurricane so we need to take the name of. >> we are tracking the remnants of sandy, the ghost of sandy. it only has a name when it is classified as a tropical system. >> we will call the big storm. >> like prince. it will come out with an album. you can see the circulation around hagerstown. we have some rain to contend with this morning. the white stuff is the snow.

i think tony is gone. i had to change my clothing twice because i had so much rain coming down on me. ee. waves were something to sa we're still seeing some of standing water in ocean city. notice all the debris on the road. this is what we're concerned about, things clogging the drains. this is the same concern we're seeing around baltimore city. so many leaves have yet to fall . temperatures in the low 40's. the wind out of the south.

midnight, looking for any kind of damage. there will be an update around 6:00 a.m. we saw some localized flooding and some standing water on the roadways. it still continues to rain here. the shelter is still open. 50 people and pets are there. and the call center is still open if you need to call for assistance. they can give you transportation to the shelter. high tide is expected around 5:45 this morning. they are watching the high tide

flooding to report. let's go to some maps. there is a restriction for drivers until noon today. for vehicles, route 24, still some closures at sharon road. .ortions of falls road a watch for closures on central avenue. the bay bridge remained closed. mta is not operating at this time. mandatory traffic restrictions until noon today. here's a quick, live look at traffic. not too many cars at the moment. 50 at 13 checks out ok.

the storm is winding down. we still have some rain today. conditions will improve today. this is the big story of today -- it feels like winter. we still have the southwest wind between 20 and 30 miles per hour. that puts the wind chills in the 30's. we have snow in the mountains. the winds will continue to gust. the temperatures will stay in the 40's. western maryland is getting hammered with heavy snow in garrett county. the wind is gusting over 50 miles per hour. >> that is a storm.

our crews were all over the state. >> a house completely collapsed into rubble. this home was abandoned. several abandoned homes collapsed in the city yesterday. >> down the trees are the during the roads. several roads were restricted and were not drive a baable. >> trees were down in downtown reisterstown. the national guard was looking to clear the roadways. if you do not have to leave your home, try to stay off the roads because they are dangerous and

up to a foot of snow in some places in the mountains. garrett county, 70% of the county is without power. they have the heavy wet snow. that was technically a blizzard . in frederick, you guys may see some snowflakes. it will generally be cold rain around baltimore. we still have a breeze kicking up. that puts the wind chills in the 30's. we will add a couple of degrees as we go to the afternoon. i still think it could get over 30 miles per hour winds. but the wind will be settling down and the rain showers will be tapering off.

flooding. 50 is still shut down on the lower bridge. 90 has been opened it in both directions. they will figure out the best way to treat each problem. that is the eastern shore. heavy snow conditions in western maryland. there was a massive accident on 68 yesterday. the visibility was down to zero. four tractor trailers got ens narled. it cost that roadway to be shut down. it wasn't a huge backup. there still was traffic.

those cars had to sheltered in place. they had to clear out all the debris. we had a reopening of the key bridge. wind warnings remain in effect along other bridges. the evacuation operations on the eastern shore will continue this morning. these were folks that can only be rescued by boats. they have to wait until 7:00 a.m. to continue those evacuations. back to you guys. >> we think we're out of the woods. there are some major problems. 43 degrees at the airport.
